Who Qualifies for Laser Refractive Surgery?
To be a candidate for surgery, you must meet each of the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years
of age.
- Have eyes that are
in the correctable prescription range (see chart below).
- Have had stable
vision for the past year—slight prescription changes may not disqualify
you.
- Have eyes free from
complicating injuries and diseases (assessed individually).
- Must not be pregnant
or nursing.
